This is a ficlet/RP journal for the Friends character Chandler Bing. I am not Chandler Bing or Matthew Perry. The character of Chandler and all Friends-related characters are property of NBC Universal/Kaufman & Crane. No copyright infringement or harm is intended.
Note: This particular version of Chandler Bing is set around Season 3 or 4 -- that is, he's not with Monica yet and he's still roommates with Joey.

A brief bio:
Chandler Muriel Bing is the son of Nora Tyler Bing and Charles Bing. His father left the family on Thanksgiving Day when Chandler was nine. Announcing he was gay, the elder Bing ran off to Vegas where he is now a cross-dressing burlesque dancer/owner of Viva LasGaygas. Chandler's mother, Nora, is a successful erotic novelist. Thanksgiving has since become a sore spot with Chandler, who hates celebrating the holiday, at least in the traditional sense.
When his father left, Chandler began to use humor as a defense mechanism, developing what would become the sardonic wit he is known for today. Although he was young, it's also when he began smoking.
In college, Chandler roomed with Ross Geller, who would continue to be one of his best friends after they graduated. It was while he was visiting the Geller home one Thanksgiving that he met Ross's younger sister, Monica, and her best friend, Rachel Green. Later, after they were all "grown up", Chandler moved in to Apartment 19, across the hall from Monica and Rachel, in a building located in Greenwich Village. Rounding out their group of friends is Phoebe Buffay, Monica's former roommate, and Joey Tribbiani, Chandler's current roommate.
Chandler's "official" occupation is an IT Manager specializing in "statistical analysis and data reconfiguration", although most of the time, he's ambiguous about what exactly he does and even his friends are usually unable to name his exact job title.
